The Short Story (Why To Add PNI To Your Reading List):
Personality Not Included is a marketing book all about why businesses need authenticity to better connect with their customers. Unlike many other books, it’s how-to format (the 2nd half is all tools and guides) and use of case studies throughout the book make it an ideal learning tool for students to understand marketing and entrepreneurship from a real world perspective. The book is written by a professional strategist at one of the largest marketing agencies in the world - and is published Internationally by McGraw-Hill.
Who can use PNI?:
- Full or Part-Time Graduate School Programs
- College, University or High School courses on marketing, entrepreneurship or business
- Correspondence courses or remote higher education
- Corporate training programs
Why Your Students Need This Book:
- They want to be the change agents - A large part of PNI is dedicated to helping motivated individuals within big companies to help the organizations they are part of to evolve, likely a situation your students will be in one day soon.
- You need at least one book they can finish - Despite how students may try, we all know how rare it is that they completely finish an assigned book for a class or seminar. PNI’s style makes it the ideal read for a coast to coast flight … and something students are very likely to finish (and just in case they don’t, check out “PNI in 60 Words or Less”).
- Stories, stories and more stories - There are more than 100 brands and individuals profiled in PNI, and the book has a little more than 300 pages. This wealth of examples means the book will be more easily read and digested by your students.
- Being on Facebook isn’t enough - Just because your students are using social media tools for personal reasons doesn’t mean they understand how they can be applied to business. PNI, in part, demonstrates the real value of social media and how to use it to generate results.
